Thanks to wines from Tenuta di Biserno, Campo di Sasso, and the brands born in New Zealand and Hungary, we can offer our customers not only a selection of excellence but the entire vision of a man who can predict the gift in a terroir and that has created undisputed wine icons of quality and prestige.
Tenuta di Biserno was discovered by Lodovico Antinori in 1995. Initially he considered to integrate this estate into the Ornellaia’s, but then, because of the excellent geology and the big extension of the estate, he decided to develop a special individual project to this incredible territory.
Bordered with the beautiful village of Bolgheri in Maremma, the main character of the Tenuta is the Vineyard Bellaria, which south is part of the Bolgheri wine area and north includes the vineyard Lodovico, from which the famous wine with the same name.
The terrain is typical of Bolgheri (perfect for Cabernet) mainly alluvial, calcareous, rich in calcium carbonate and pebbles for an ideal drainage; however in several parcels there is a high concentration of clay where we opted for the cultivation of Merlot. In addition to these varieties, at Tenuta di Biserno you can find Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot all trained as Cordon Spur and with an high density that reach the 6500 vines per hectar. The special microclimate, the respect of the characteristics for each vintage and the use of the most sophisticated winemaking techniques complete the excellence of this extraordinary estate.
